One morning this week Pal insisted on having a whole packet of cream biscuits. Neha obviously didn't want her to do any such thing. Pal started crying and irritated, Neha said, "SUIT yourself.". Pal replied, "No, I will not SHOOT myself."

Somin was listening to a new Noddy story sitting in my lap. As I turned page 3, he poked the page and said, "Wait, pause, I have to switch on the fan," before getting up to do the needful. "Tape aa chha pause toh kare?" I asked. "Ha, tape hi aa," he said.
After his afternoon siesta he got up and went to the loo. "Did you wash your hands," asked his big nani. "I washed my face, so my hands got washed automatically," was his instant reply.
So Somin was watching Mr India for the first time and was fascinated. After making his wishes known about wanting one of the gadgets he went to sleep. The next morning he was calling his big nanu from the balcony on the second floor. A question and answer session followed: what are you doing nanu? where are you? etc. Then for a moment, his nanu went quiet. "Mr India thi vaya aayo chha nanu, gari gari gaayab thi wano ta," he said.
